This hymn is a humble prayer of complete surrender to Lord Krishna, addressed as Murari, the compassionate Lord who removes the suffering of devotees. The devotee declares that through many births he has been the servant of the Lord and now pleads for divine mercy to help him cross the ocean of worldly existence.

The hymn describes the world as a vast and difficult ocean (bhavasagara) that cannot be crossed without divine help. The devotee admits helplessness and confesses that no one else in the world can truly protect or support him. Even family and worldly relationships are unreliable in the journey of spiritual liberation.

With deep humility, the devotee acknowledges his own faults and shortcomings, recognizing himself as full of imperfections and lacking virtue. Yet he turns toward the Lord with hope, asking Krishna to look upon him with compassion.

In the final verse, the devotee urgently calls upon the Lord not to delay in granting grace and liberation. The hymn expresses intense devotion, repentance, and surrender, teaching that only through the Lord’s mercy can the soul overcome worldly suffering and attain spiritual freedom.
